The site originally began as a list of resources on each nation for Professor Pavlovskaya's Geography of Russia and Central Asia (GEOG278) class at Hunter College while working as a research assistant, but it because my pet project over the course of summer 2008, growing bigger and bigger. I hope to keep up the site with as much news and developments regarding the former Soviet states as possible!
